For homeowners
Find the right builder for the work you have in mind.
A renovation starts with a lot of questions. RenoLink helps you describe the job clearly, connect with relevant builders and make a more informed choice.
Start a renovation project
Start with a useful project brief
Tell builders what you want to change, where the property is, your budget range and when you hope to begin. You can add photos and other files so the scope is easier to understand.
- Describe the work and the result you want.
- Include your postcode and timing so nearby builders can assess the fit.
- Mention access, layout or existing issues that may affect a quote.
See why builders are relevant
RenoLink considers the type of work, service area, project size, availability and experience when matching a project. Builders can then decide whether to respond to the opportunity.
- Review a builder’s profile and relevant work.
- Check the details behind a match before requesting a quote.
Compare the whole quote
Compare the proposed scope and milestones alongside the price. Use project messages to clarify assumptions, exclusions or timing before you appoint a builder.
- Ask what is included and what is excluded.
- Keep quotes, conversations and project steps together.
How pricing works
One agreed quote. Clear costs.
Your RenoLink activation fee is included in your accepted quote. There is no extra platform charge on top.
- 01
Accept your quote
Agree the scope, VAT treatment and milestone schedule with your chosen builder.
- 02
Pay the activation fee
Pay RenoLink securely to activate your project. This payment counts towards your accepted quote; it is not added on top.
- 03
Pay your builder directly
Pay the remaining construction balance directly to your builder across the agreed milestones, with the activation fee deducted from the final milestone.
A fee that scales with your project
| Accepted quote | RenoLink fee |
|---|---|
| Under £1,000 | 10% |
| £1,000–£10,000 inclusive | 6% |
| Over £10,000 | 3%, capped at £750 |
The £750 cap is reached at £25,000. The fee stays at £750 for larger quotes.

Pricing questions, answered
Is the fee added to the quote?
No. For an unchanged agreed scope, the activation fee plus the adjusted builder payments equals the accepted quote. The builder receives the quoted total less the RenoLink fee.
How are the percentages applied?
One rate applies to the whole accepted quote, not separate portions. Below £1,000 it is 10%; from £1,000 to £10,000 inclusive it is 6%; above £10,000 it is 3%, capped at £750. The fee can fall when a quote crosses a rate boundary.
What happens to deposits and the final milestone?
Deposits and earlier milestones stay as agreed. The fee is deducted once from the final milestone. If that milestone is smaller than the fee, agree a revised schedule before activation.
What if the scope or quote changes?
Agree any additional work, price and payment schedule in writing before proceeding. The original quote example does not include later variations. Contact RenoLink before changing an activated quote.
What about VAT?
Confirm VAT treatment with your builder before accepting. The accepted total used for activation must include any applicable VAT. Check the fee and invoice details before payment.
What if the project is cancelled?
Contact RenoLink before making further payments. Any refund is assessed under the applicable cancellation terms and statutory rights. Payments made directly to your builder are handled separately.
Does activation provide project insurance?
The activation fee is a platform service fee, not an insurance policy or a guarantee of workmanship. Review your builder’s insurance details and the scope of their cover separately.
